I have a X2 4400+ currently that I was planning on replacing with an Opteron 185. My question is would I need to download any special drivers or apps for it.

May have to update bios to recognise opteron's CPU string other than that it's identical to a Toledo. May I ask why are you upgrading?

mmm, really just for the extra 400MHz. I don't know the first thing about overclocking so not even going to try that on my 4400+
