Hi all,

I'm really looking for suggestions on what I might need to tweak in the bios to get a "normal" opteron 150 (2.4ghz, dual channel memory) 3dmark2k1SE score on an Iwill DK8X. From everything I've seen, I should be getting 26k and change as evidenced here:

My chipset is 8131, and I have a single processor with 4 ram sticks. For whatever reason, xp home is running in "PAE" mode. Could this be affecting my performance? What other bios options should I be checking? I have the latest AMD driver back, xp-sp2, and the latest official forceware drivers. My 3dmark score is 23,800.

Suggestions appreciated. My core/ram settings on the video card are at 400/1050 (fast as I can get stabily). I figure that missing the extra 50mhz i should still at LEAST hit 25000.

Thanks!

3dmark01 is so old you shouldn't care about it at all, my comp gets crushed by oc'ed cpus and 9800 pro's. Boot up a game and if you can't attain what you should be getting (probably 16x12 minimum on everything) then come back and troubleshoot.

I'm using it as a general cpu benchmark. I'm wondernig why my box is performing 10% slower than identical boxes.

if it was 1-3% I wouldn't care. 10% tells me something is wrong. They sell cpu differences less than 10% (see athlon fx-51 vs fx-53).
