I haven't been too happy with my ambient case temps and processor temps in my case even with all the fans I have. Ambient room temp is fairly normal at 70-74f. When i feel like it i can open my window and make it pretty chilly in there and i can drop my overall temps 4-5c but thats about it. but when summer comes i wont be able to do that and i want to get this problem resolved before then. there is a pic at the bottom of the post showing what i might try and do with my case. everything right now is just the opposite of what i have in there except the top exhaust fan. i am currently running a CNPS9500 and havent been to impressed with it as my opteron 170 gets up to 52-53c under heavy gaming and full load with prime95 and such. my ambient case temps can get as high as 45c. here is my proposed change with a scythe ninja as the cpu heatsink.

any thoughts/suggestions are welcome!

another option i just thought of is that i could move both my iCages up and that would put the front 120mm exhaust fans toward the top of the case.

I do not agree with all of the 120's being intakes... This will cause alot of air to hang right in the middle of this case, right where the mobo and GTX are...

My suggestion would be to move all of the hard drives/DVD rom drives as high in the case as possible. Get some 3.5" to 5 1/4" adapters and place hard drives in the 5 1/4" bays... This will get as many heat generating objects near the top of the case (heat rises... duh)... I would then set the FRONT 120mm fans to intakes and since the drives are up, there is less air restriction, with the two 92mm fans and the rear 120mm fan as exhaust... This should keep the air preasure in your case fairly close to neutral, meaning air going out is the same as air coming in... constant circulation.

What I noticed also helps with my 7800GTX was mounting a 120mm fan directly behind it, blowing on the PWM and RAMsinks mounted on the side of the drive cage. While I do not have the same case, I am willing to put principle that it works in any case.
