Well I was wondering what people thought about it and if some people would be interested in getting involved. Here is a few points for my rationale
- No matter how low the price are at any computer store they are always there to make a profit so price could be even lower which is the point of a coop store
- Having access to distributor prices I know that consumer pays quite a bit more especially for accessories
- You get the peace of mind that if you are paying higher price then somewhere else at a coop store it's either because you are not buying enough and economy of scale is not kicking in or management is wasting money but not because they are make millions of profit on your back
- There are a few computer store that works on a coop structure but the only ones I know are at universities and do not allow non students to become member
- I am a member of a few coop store and really like the idea, where I was before I was a member of a coop gas station and the price was always lower by a few cents
Anyway this is just an idea and was wondering what other people thought and if some people would like to get involved.
