Opinion: 2nd 6850 or replace current 6850?

So my current sig rig is still running strong for me. Haven't had any real issues at all. I'm just looking to upgrade my video card.

I currently have a VisionTek 6850 and was possibly going to purchase a 2nd one.

Or

I could sell my current one and get something different.

I'm assuming I could possibly still get $100+ out of my current card. So with that I'd have about $250 to get something else.

I game on my sig rig at 1920x1200 on a 24" screen.

Phenom II X3 720 BE (4th core unlocked) OC'd at 3.5ghz
16gigs DDR3 1600 ram

People are selling their 6870s for around 125. I've seen open box cards On newegg for 95 for the 6850s.

Could sell yours and get a 6970.

Otherwise look in fs forum and see if you can get one for 80 or 90

Or wait a little bit and get the 7950 or 7870 when they come out.

I was in the same boat and went with a second gigabyte 6850

been running great...I didn't want to wait 2 months for a 7xxx card since I wanted it for BF3

6850's scale quite well in crossfire. My two XFX 6850@875mhz scored P6100 in 3dmark 2011.

Sounds good I was actually leaning towards a 2nd 6850 and possibly trying to find one used to save even more.

I would just get a second 6850. Wait until another week or two for 7xxx series to finally hit retailers and pick up a cheap used one.
