Danger Den Fat Boy 1/2'' barbs fitted for show and what not! The RADS have been to a mate for some pimping! I'll get photo of them ASAP.

I've also started with using some old carbonfiber i had about, i covered the top of the front facea and the PCI blanking plates with it, left to curue @ 350c under -30hg vacume.

As you can see i've also started too strip the case out for the next steps.

Curious to see how all those rads are gonna fit in there! Looking forward to seeing how this all turns out. Good luck!

See below dude

Looks like you have your hands full! GL

My hands span 9.5'' so no problem

I love the carbon fiber! I can't wait to see some more progress

Here goes then dude!

Most comen mod i found for these cases and a part i do not need, HD cage. Out she come. Though it might show it's face again with some modding and carbonfiber love!

Samllest rad placement time, rad is the 120. Need too make a small mod to the 3.5'' bay for her to fit but i doubt i'll be using that bay anyway!

PB140532.jpg

PB140535.jpg

Next the 240, i found 5 reasons too why it couldt go this and that way then found how it can and will go LOL. Photos show a few reason if you can work them out!

PB140542.jpg

Next the daddy being the 360, only one place. Up top he goes!!

PB140543.jpg

In doing so i lose the front IO which is no scracth off my nose but i do like to use my front USB for the camera and USB stick. I got thinking which is a bad idea!! I also too some measurements!

PB140546.jpg

I will be relocating the PSU plug from the bottom back to the top which sloves loads of my problems!!!

PB140547.jpg

PB140549.jpg

Next i need to dig out a dead ATX mobo, fit it and work out cuts for ATX 24 power, 8 pin CPU, PCI, MOBO headers

I'll also check on a few things and mark them up.

Also need to order some bits for it and just been told the custom paint is in the UK now at the coaters. Whooop

Wow man! I just completed watercooling my A05b, and it pales in comparison to this greatness that is your project! Looing very good! Subbed.

-Tad

yeah it shouldnt be to bad with something like that are you going to use the stock back fan as intake or exhaust or ditch it? Oh and if you havent been told yet the white on black is preeettttyyy good looking i like it atleast.;):D

Who said anything about white on black? If you read my post you'll see there is a custom color coming! I might use a fan on the rear, be it on the outside of the case or some funky small one for internal, there is a few catching my eye admitly! Nothing will be stock

I've been playing some more...

I need too remove the rivet snap's that where there too mount the PSU plug. I took a screw used to mount the MOBO too the MOBO stand off, scrwed it in the taped firmly with the hammer to knock it out. Whilest doing this i held the case as best as i could for it not too dent, easyer said than done. Reason behind the removale is better fitment of the 240 rad, barb and hose!

These are the parts i removed

PB170552.jpg

This is the result of removing them

I also fitted a MOBO, in this case a dead ASUS Maximus Formula Special Edition X38 which i got via my NDA and latter it random died. Handy for all sorts of things, this case im using it for case modding, cable cuts and rad/fan clearance checking. Looks pretty cool and rad as is i think

PB170557.jpg

Here is a photo of the plan barb and tubing set up. Yes thats a Danger Den G1/4 1/2'' Fatboy with TYGON® R-3603 3/8" Laboratory Tubing. Specs are Inner Diameter - 3/8" - (10mm), Outer Diameter - 5/8" - (16mm), Wall Thickness - 1/8" - (3mm). I like it due to the flex, it's a good size for flow and temps, it grips the barbs very tight so no need to clamps of any sort and it looks good. I find it dead easy too fit but it's very tight fitting on the barbs!

PB170558.jpg

Here is a photo testing the 360 rad with MOBO in place.

PB170559.jpg

Clearence here is tight on the MOBO headers for the conection but there is plenty of room for them so all okay there. I've seen so many used of this case make the grave error of fitting case>fan>rad which look gash i think but they then cry about clearence, im going case>rad>fan, widest item then the smallest item and all problems solved!

PB170560.jpg

I've marked the case up for the cable cuts now, i have also worked out a way i can fit least 6 2.5'' HD's which is great as this means i can use my Intel SSD's in this tiny case and have uber fast performance, though i might have too use a RAID card as im already finding 4 are maxing out the ICH10 on my i7 rig!

The custom powdercoating has arrived too so i need too hury with marking up whats need too mod before she goes off and has the mods done before shes coated.

This the power

Powder003.jpg

This after the base layer (black i think) and then the purple candy on top and baked

PurpleCandyPowder.jpg

Pretty cool and hense the name of this project.

I just need too check on locationg the top IO forward more and marl up the PSU plug cut them im all done on marking up!

Hey i was just talking about the radiators and how you got them power coated like that i think its pretty unique.:D

And looking good so far that left barb on your 240 is mad tight against the back but looks good like that!

Oh man, beautiful purple color there..

Right heres are the photos of the mods being done

The case ready to be tranformed

Marking out the modding - removale of the 3.5'' bay by going CASE>FAN>RAD

2.jpg

Ooo it's lost the roof in the high winds

3.jpg

Drive bays removed, taped up and marked up...mwhahahah

4.jpg

The roof covered in masking tape and marked up for the rad. Sadly i can't keep the front IO in the top. I'll try and find a way too do!! Perhaps the 3.5'' bay??

5.jpg

Getting naked now. Cable holes done.

6.jpg

7.jpg

The front 120 rad now fits!!

My 2 Vandal Resistant Switch Black - White Ring have arrived. I got some 2.8mm spade coections off ebay 50 for like £2 delivered! I've cut the plastic off them as they were a tight fitting, bunching up. I'm currently straighing the wires out from the stock case LED and Switch. Have ordered some heatshrink and braiding from the USA which has just been shipped so once here i can get on and pimp them out.I'll be soldering the spade fitting too the wires for neatness.
