On a 160GB HD, should i set aside like a 10 gig partition for the OS? More, less, or not at all??

Your uses will dictate how you partition it, but 10 GB isn't giving you very much room for installed applications or games. My one system has a 160 GB drive in it, and I give it a 40 GB C drive, and make the rest a second primary partiton, labeled D.
