Now, the acid2 test doesn't mean everything, but the venture has helped Opera fix some html and css conformance bugs, so it's all good.

Yes, that correctly rendered smiley face is a sight to behold. They did say that future builds could potentially have regressions that break the Acid 2 rendering but let's hope for the best.

True, but I think with us being this far, they'll hold off the final to fix any nasty regressions that might come up. There are still many other things to do before 9 can go final *IMO*, so I think we'll have plenty of time to test.
