I just installed OpenIndiana & napp-it on my MicroServer after I realized that using OmniOS + napp-it & using NFS to export it to Ubuntu so it could manage the shares didn't work quite how I needed to. I am currently downloading my backup from CrashPlan on my MicroServer. I need to know how to share the directories I am downloading now, either using the napp-it UI or the Gnome control panel in OpenIndiana. Its been a long time since I've done anything in a *NIX system in relation to SMB not using a web interface.

Maybee I do not understand correctly.

With Solaris and ZFS, a SMB or NFS share is a property of a ZFS filesystem.
You cannot share regular folders below that filesystem but access them as a folder in a share.

If you need to share regular or nested folders, you must use SAMBA (via CLI, not supported by napp-it)
