What is the difference between OpenGL 1.5 and 2.0??? Also why do some 6800GT's support one and others support the other???

Do any games currently utilize OpenGL 2.0?

Basically some extensions have been moved into the core, and some new extensions have been added.

They don't. That's just people who don't know what kind of info they're putting up on their websites. Lots of those around, sadly.
OpenGL 2.0 support is a driver-thing. Install new drivers on an old 6800GT, and it will support OpenGL 2.0 just as well as one with OpenGL 2.0 drivers bundled. The hardware hasn't changed.

As far as I know there aren't any.

I think doom3 is coded in OpenGL 2.0. Don't quote me on that. :D

No it's not. OpenGL 2.0 support didn't even exist at the time of its release, I think.
Carmack did experiment with some OpenGL 2.0 stuff in the early stages, but the game itself doesn't require OpenGL 2.0, OpenGL 1.5 is enough.
