Open Licensing Question

I realize there may be no concrete answers to these questions yet, so maybe the Vista experiences will apply. I manage the I.T. needs for a company of 29 people. The previous person in my position purchased an Open License for XP from Microsoft, which gave us one license key to be used on our company systems. How would this be handled with Windows 7, considering each copy needs to be activated. If I buy a Windows 7 Open License, will I get a certain number of license keys, or just one to be used on all systems? I could certain track that with a spreadsheet, but it might make my image creation process more difficult, unless I would just create the image without entering a key, and then deploy that out.

With Vista and Windows 7 there are 2 licensing methods, KMS and MAK. MAK is manual activation key, where you have a limited number of activations and they keep track. KMS is key management service, where you have a "key server" that keeps track.
