I am gonna be doing some modding to thy case this weekend, but I wanna keep my computer up.

How would I go about setting up my comp to run in an open bench on my desk? Could I put the mobo on the box with a antistatic tray underneath and just leave the hardrives in the cadge and use the dvd drives on eachother?

Any pics or guides is appreciated.
 
I would say you would be ok with that. Usually when I run mobos outside a case I put it on some foam if you got it. The foam really helps because it sets the board up as the cards that are installed in the board sit lower than it does.
