Open air bench cases... So close.

I currently have a cheapo open air test bench case and because the card slots have an edge that hangs down just a tiny bit too far and also because the PSU mount is right next to where the CPU cooler is, which makes changing CPUs and coolers a pain without removing the PSU, I decided to look for a different bench case.

What is available for a good price comes so close to being perfect, yet so far.

Made to be vertical and I want horizontal, so I ended up ordering extra 2020 bars and connectors.

That's one of the reasons I prefer a modular test bench over a conventional open-frame case. If you're regularly swapping CPUs, coolers, GPUs, etc., having to remove the PSU just to get access to the socket defeats the purpose of a bench setup. The 2020 bars should give you plenty of flexibility, especially if you build it horizontally and leave some extra clearance around the motherboard and PCIe slots.
