Alright guys,

Think this game is worth it for $7.49 USD? On sale this weekend. Hopefully no one has posted this yet, but I didn't see it until a few minutes ago.

Discuss.

Wife told me no because I just spent $1300 on a new computer. Damnit.

I believe they stopped supporting it or something along those lines.

It was worth the $40 when I bought it, for the co-op alone. Less buggy than Arma2, easier to pick up and play, lots of epic moment, smooth running, easily worth 7.49.

I did not play more than 15mins of the SP and MP combined. Horrible game, not even worth $1.

Was thinking about but I think ill save myself 8 bucks now that I hear the comments about it and no dedicated servers

It had a slight Hidden & Dangerous feel to me in single player. Didn't get a chance to play coop, and heard horrible things about multi-player. I'd say it's definitely worth it if you like a good single player fps.

This game sucks! It was a total pump and dump, run up the hype cash in for what you can and run the hell away. Worste game I have EVER played in a LONG time. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!! Not even worth 1 dollar!

Then you have never played solider of fortune 3.

The game is worth about 8 dollars, if another friend buys it too and you just do it for the co-op play. This game was made for other humans playing with you, completing objectives, especially when having to do stealth maps. But the multiplayer is buggy as all hell, due to the fact that its has do dedicated server, I cant tell you the amount of times I had to start over due to a bad connection, and he would be on a FIOS line.

Please. Don't even call it that. It doesn't deserve that moniker.

That wretched POS makes this game look like a sheer masterpiece in contrast with GREAT ease.

That would be the expansion pack for Arma 2.

I understand it is a stand-alone expansion, meaning it will not require the original Arma2 to play it. That's what their FAQ says. And that's why I'm waiting. Still no ETA though. :(

Sorry, when you said "new one" I thought you meant a new OFP. :D Yes, arrowhead is a standalone expansion pack. Although, that description seems to be a bit of a oxymoron. :D

I find it hard to believe it is not worth $1. And there has to be a balance somewhere. I can understand not buying a game for $30 or $40 if you feel that strongly about no dedicated servers, but $8? Come on.

And we're all spoiled if we can say a game is no good just because it doesn't have any DLC. Patches, yeah the company should fix something if it's not right, but I've never bought a game based on what kind of DLC it has.

The Armed Assault (ArmA) family of games is more simulation than FPS. So not everyone is going to understand and appreciate what it actually was meant for.

For the price of lunch...sure its worth it...for the cost to the pc gamer...HELL THE FUCK NO!!!

Single player in this game is worth $7 - no question about it.

Some people have said that this game is the poor man's Arma2 - but it would be a mistake to think that this game is some sort of dumbed down console game. If you've played the PC version of GRAW, then you might have an idea of how this thing plays - honestly, though, I thought that this game was more difficult than GRAW. If you at all attempt to charge in, guns blazing, then forget about it... you're dead.

This game is way more accessible than ARMA 2 - but that doesn't mean it's not bordering on being a simulator. Make no mistake, one bullet, and you're down.

Single player on this is easily worth $8 for the one time you'll play it and never bother with it again.
