I just installed an antec true 430 in my system. After installing the PSU, the system will not start up. The north bridge fan spins and the light on the mobo lights but nothing else. Anything dumb that I am overlooking?

Tried hooking up the old psu and still nothing happens.

Is the video card plugged in? Does the harddrive light come on? Do you hear beeps? Clear CMOS and try to boot again.

Does it POST?

No it doesnt post. And I dont have the hard disk light connected but I dont hear the hdd doing much. Yes video card is plugged in, tried another just in case. No beeps going on.

Man this is a bummer, I bought this power supply to help protect my equipment. I have disconnected everything and put it all back, still no luck.

try swapping components around, maybe something (mobo) randomly died?

also, is there perhaps a rogue screw or other misc. metallic item that could be shorting shit in your case that you dont' know about ?

make sure on the back of the PSU that the little red switch is set on the right amount of power..i had mine on the wrong one..might have gotten moved during shipping

Will a mobo still post if it only has ram, processor and a video card connected and of course a power supply? Im gonna test this with a p200 machine but I am curiious if it will work with the machine in my sig.

I have pulled the mobo out, set everything on a table. Removed everything from the mobo except the processor and ram and a video card...still nothing. Installed cpu and ram in another machine and it booted fine, ram checked ok.

What did I do to my mobo? I've had it about a month. Any advice about rma'ing it to new egg. I have never done that before.
