I have a ZM750-HP PSU and I just purchased and GeForce GTS 450. The PSU can handle it. Only problem is i cannot find the damn box it came in. which held the extra cables. For example an 8pin to 6 pin power cable. which i need to run the damn thing. Any way I can get replacements? I looked online for hours and can only find extenders or molex to 6 pin, which won't work. please help me thank you.

I found this on new egg but am unsure if this will suffice

My PSU SHOULD look like this, but I am missing all these cables.

Almost all 8-pin PCI-E power cables are in the 6+2 form (two cables can be detached from the 8-pin plug to form the 6-pin plug), especially in lower-end power supplies. I am thinking you are thinking of the 8-pin EPS (CPU) power plug, which will not fit/work with any PCI-E connector. You are going to have to get the molex to 6-pin adapter if you can't find the cables. Or you can buy the plugs and wire your own cables.

so basically your saying the cables located at that link will not suffice and I will have to use a molex to 6 pin connector.

If that connector is the CPU connector, it will not suffice, because the pin-out is different. Theoretically, it should work, since it's all 12v lines, but unless you really know what you're doing, I wouldn't recommend trying to use it.

I think I know what your saying. So if I plug in the 6+2 pin into the 8 pin modular port, then plug the 6 pin into the GPU, It would either cause issues or not work at all?

I don't think you can plug it in in the first place, because the holes are shaped differently to prevent people from plugging things into the wrong places.

At worst, it will fry your GPU. This is a worst case scenario, likely to happen if 1 or more of the 12v lines goes to the ground connector instead of the proper 12v connector.

Your best bet is to contact Zalman and try to get a replacement cable directly from them.
