I made the horrid mistake of letting nTune fine tune my system, with custom settings set for 6 hours, and all devices. The end product, because I canceled it half way through, due to not getting past an hour after 8 hours, with computer reboots and nTune not auto starting anymore, is I no longer see my desktop, and the computer doesn't turn off when I shut it down, via start menu. Also, for some reason CpuZ reads my e6600 processor with a x6 multiplier and my core speed at 1600Mhz, though my BIOS says entirely different. I'm getting little windows, artifacts(?), such as when dragging a box on the desktop it just sticks. Any help would be greatly appreciated... I have learned my lesson.

Whoops... wow, I don't know for sure... maybe try re-setting your bios?

Good luck....

I made a similiar mistake once when i got my new setup in my sig. Ntune causes more problems than its worth. If you can get to the bios, try loading the default values for your bios and if that doesnt work, try resetting your cmos. If that doesnt work, try setting the problems values in the bios back to default manually. Let us know how it works for you,

Well, before any replies, I reset everything to default in my BIOS manually, and after a couple of restarts, and installing the newest nVidia drivers, and another restart or two, the problem magically disappeared... I just hope for good. Would there be any driver repercussions on uninstalling nTune by itself?
