When I was intalling my CPU, I accidently put a fingerprint mark on the top of the CPU. What should I do to get rid of it, if I should at all?

Would applying a small amount of glass cleaner work?

90% isopropyl alcohol and a coffee filter will clean it up just fine. It's not much of a big deal, but best to clean it off....

rofl. yes wipe it off :)
Its best to use a lint free cloth, dont leave any particles or hairs on it.
digital_exhausts suggestion is worth trying.
I've used vinegar based glass cleaner too.

It is just that I don't want to go out of my way just to clean one fingerprint off. Are there any common household goods that I can use?

I thought Isopropyl Alcohol was a household good? Anything that doesn't leave a residue. Windex is not recommended. Alcohol is your best bet next to ArcticClean.

I suggest throwing the thing away, as it's now destroyed. A single fingerprint can kill a cpu.

haha my bad... i guess since its my first build im being paranoid... just wanted to make sure..
