sucks.... i was looking for something but now have to wait a minute because i didn't find it the first search
 
Yeah, and it's pretty annoying when you make a typo and have to wait a minute to do it again. I brought it up shortly after the upgrade, but kyle basically said it wouldn't change. It's a small price to pay, though. What I think would be really nice(though probably not possible with the forum software) is to have a limit like 3 searches in 3 minutes or something. That covers you if you do a bogus search, but it also still limits the load on the server. Oh well.
 
It reduces the load to the server and it won't make the server slow when your posting.
 
One of the main reasons....we used to have some malicious minded members who liked to see how many searches they could do to slow down the forums. The time between the searches was extended little by little until it was determined that the 60 sec timeframe posed the least danger of overload while still being deemed a useful service to the members. Sorry for the delay, but it is a necessary evil on a forum of this size ;)

Then leave and go to another forum that better suits your needs please. This will not be changed.
