So, a lot of my friends ignored The Day Before because an open beta for Once Human opened up.

https://www.oncehuman.game/

Now word of warning to come. The Developer is owned by Netease.

The game is a smash up of a lot of games and done well?

Good Luck

Seems good so far. A few interface bugs but nothing major.

wtf? I was expecting another couple years of random betas. How is it?
"Mostly Negative" doesn't seem good.

Looks like it's mostly early access type issues, queues, bugs, crashes. Those who play seem to really like it. Guess that's what open beta is for.

Looks like people are also misconstruing the ID requirement for being mandated globally. It's only for regions where the government tracks how many hours you play online games (China, South Korea).

When I lived in SK, it was nuts how many games wanted an ID. There was no opt-out as a foreigner, which sucked a lot since I couldn't play certain games w/o a VPN. Some game services didn't like the VPN either, so I was stuck not playing them at all.

Is there base building or anything like that? Player home etc. Survival crafting elements?
Yes. Looks like a more serious version of the original Fortnite game from the videos I've seen, which is why I'm not interested in it at all. Survival craft isn't my thing.

Friend and I have been interested in this game for a year or two but the timed server wipes and public multiplayer have put us off.
Really wish they'd add some private server options...

This game is nuts.

Played a couple hours last night, so far it's fun.

Watched a couple videos and don't even mind the server resets after seeing how they implemented it

Pro-tip: The in-game mouse smoothness slider does nothing, it's always max.
If you're noticing input lag on your mouse you can force it off by switching Graphics Preset to Low, then manually adjusting your settings back to what you want.

Found it here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2139460/discussions/0/4410795727365070247/?ctp=3#c4515505458300271413

edit:
After more experimenting, if I set the in-game fps cap to anything above 60, there's mouse input lag. If I use 60 or 30, the lag goes away.
Also I'm pretty sure the DLSS settings are wrong. My FPS goes up when I switch from Quality to DLAA. I should enable DLSS Indicator to see what it's doing...

I thought things felt a little off, thanks for the info.

I spent way too long finding a new spot for my house.

When you fast travel to your base, it always spawns you in the middle. However if an object is blocking the spot, it will move you up until it finds a flat surface to spawn you on.
I made a tower by putting a water collection device in the middle of each floor all the way up to the top. So when I fast travel, the only open spot is the top floor.

So I have a nice little penthouse base with no way up except fast travel, and I can expand downward as I need space.

That pic is the highest, I tried 1 more floor up and it blocked me.
Looks like 8 floors.

After today's patch all my journey rewards reset, but stayed completed. I just opened the menu and everything is lit up yellow again and I claimed all the rewards lol.
Just got a ridiculous amount of money, xp, and controllers.

edit: Apparently this was intentional, not a bug. Weird.
