Ok, ive got a nforce2 mobo with onboard sound. Running windows XP. with nvidia nforce audio. I set it up as 5.1 speakers, and check the line in to rear speakers option. So far no issues, then when i play somthing in winamp, no sound from the rears. Ok, i can deal with that. However, when i play somthing in WMP, i get a 1-2 second delay on the rear speakers, so everything ehoes. As you could imagine this is a bit annoying. The speakers are logitech 640s. Never had this issue until i changed from my audigy to this onbaord sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and im not using the nvidia software, just windows default. Thanks
 
update your drivers (with ones from the manufacturer)... first thing to do when anything messes up.

by this statement, you are using no drivers cept what came with windows.
 
Then open up NvMixer, go to Surround Settings, and make sure it's set on Clone instead of Delay.
 
For winamp..

Options.. Prefs.. Plugins.. Output.. Directsound should be selected.. Hit Configure
Select the nvidia nForce Audio on the dropdown..
Select Hardware acceleration.

The next time you start a song, you should have rear audio.

Also, Make sure you have DirectX 9.x

No clue on WMP.. dont use it much except for CDs and even then, I dont get delay. I'm thinking there is a setting specific to WMP that is giving you the delay.
