Onboard Gigabit Problem

I've got an Abit IC7-MAX3 with onboard intel csa gigabit. When I connect it directly to my school's network it works fine at 100Mbps. When I connect it through my Linksys EG005W Gigabit switch it connects at 1Gbps, but fails to pull an ip and severe packet loss shows up in Intel ProSet. I also own a laptop with onboard gigabit and a laptop with onboard 10/100, and they both work perfectly through the switch. I'm using Cat 5e and Intel ProSet tells me the cable is good. I have the latest bios for my motherboard and latest drivers for the network card.

Any ideas?
