I need to build myself a new computer. I've currently have a water cooled Barton 2500. But I need something will a little more power and stability for doing a lot of Graphical editing and what not.

I'm hopeing the [H]ard forum members can give me a hand in what I should buy/order. Thanks in advance

Shane

Two options, they just depend on your desire to get mature technology or brand new tech that may require a few revisions before it is perfected.

Intel P4 2.6c (or faster depending on budget)
on a abit IC7
with some kick arse Mushkin lvl2 pc3500 (while you can still get it)

AMD Athlon64 3000+, 3200+, or 3400+ (again, budget)
NForce3 MB
still some kick arse Mushkin lvl2 pc3500

If you are looking for stability, I would recommend going Intel.

Not that AMD CPUs and chipsets aren't stable, but the Intel CPU, especially when coupled with an Intel chipset are going to give you even more stability. (at least this was the case a few months ago ;) )
