I was talking on the phone with a friend and My toe touched the extension power suply cord thingy and clicked all the hardware off! Wehn I rebooted it was fine then I logged off the administators acount and into mine and then it wouldnt load the page, all it would show was the background. So I rebooted again. Then it beeped and told me:

"The BIOS has detected a serious problem that prevents your PC from booting" and above that it says
"0050-A2: Fan error"

Help me? please? :(

When you remove the side, do you see the fans spinning?

More importantly, is the cpu fan on it's heatsink spinning?

Ill remove the side and see but..heatsink? I dunno what that is :( im a noob

The heatsink/fan on top of your cpu. Is the fan spinning and therefor cooling the cpu?

okay I took off the side and turned it on to see if the fan was running...even though I cant see the fan because its I guess something it blocing it, it booted as normal and now ts up and fine....Should I get a new fan just incase? or do you think that maybe it was jsut freaking out on me for no reason?

Well, the sudden disconnect from the extension cord so forth?

It's important that your cpu is cooled for proper operation, be it an Intel or an AMD.

Do you have a way to monitor your system, like Asus Probe, Motherboard Monitor, anything?

okay I thought it was going to load fine but it that thing again....where I log into y account and when I load it all it shows is my desktop and it doesnt who anything else such as icons and the starmenu.....

what is happening? :(

No I dont...but maybe I should.

and my computer just started up it just took an incredible amount of time ?:( that was weird....

I figured that maybe the sudden dissconect probably fried something? i dunno

cybunny,

You may have lost data on the hard drive due to the sudden disconnect while it was running.

Do this, post your system specs.

1- Motherboard
2- cpu
3-Psu
4- HDD
etc etc. so the members can help you diagnose your problems. Ok?

 Man...Ima n00b and I wouldnt knwo these things :/ this isnt a great computer I can figure this things out I guess......but with great help on how to find.......

If it jsut lost data from the last time it booted then thats fine...As long as its not going to completly crash and burn on me :/

Just take a flashlight and look at all the fans in the computer when it turns on and make sure they are all spinning.

:) Ok. Download this little program and then install it. It will tell you many things about your PC. Motherboard type, cpu, memory, etc.
