Omega or Catalyst?

I here lots of people who swear by the performance and reliability of the omega drivers, I have always used catalyst but it really makes me curious.... SO my question(s) is/are.....
1. Do the omega drivers really offer a performance increase over the catalyst drivers?
2. Can I use Rage3d Tweak with the Omega drivers?
3. Are the omega drivers equally or more reliable than the catalyst drivers?
4. What do you personally recommend and why?

I know that's a lot of stuff, but I really appreciate the help guys, thanks in advance!!!

The Omega drivers offer a nice streamlined control panel and some barely noticeable texture detail improvements.

They include an overclocking utility, and work just fine with the Rage3d tweak, as they are nothing more than the Catalysts with some slightly (and invisibly) tweaked settings.

The performance difference varies on each release but is NEVER anything to call home about. You aren’t going to notice that you switched from Catalysts to Omegas performance wise.

Some people report that using the Omegas solves some issues. They do, but these cases are few and far between and probably would have been solved by reinstalling the official drivers.

Personally, I am still running the 4.4 Catalysts. They are the best set of drivers I have found for my 9800 Pro.

The Omega's really don't offer anything new, and are just another variable to have to consider if you have an issue. Running Catalysts makes it easier to use the data available on the internet and from ATi for troubleshooting. The Omegas make troubleshooting a crap shoot as the user base is much smaller.

i noticed that the omega driver doesn't run the new ATI demo correctly, the shadows flash when there are too many

I only play Wolf. ET and BF1942. I had some texture corruption in Wolfenstein ET with the newest Cats, so I switched to the Omegas. No problems whatsoever, and great image quality so far.

Last time I tried Omega drivers based on the 4.5 Catalyst drivers my system wouldn't even launch UT2004.
