OLED B7 does not allow RGB 10 bpc

Hi
I recently bought an oled b7 and I have a 2.1 HDMI cable.
I have a graphics card GTX 1080ti.
but when entering the nvidia panel it only allows me RGB with 8bpc and with YCBCr: 4: 2: 2 if it allows me 10 and 12 bpc, I have already tried everything, buy an hdmi 2.1 cable and I deactivate the HDR and anyway I can only use 8bpc RGB.
They say that with the YCBCr: 4: 2: 2 in 10 bpc in HDR it should be rewarding and look better but the truth is not very good, the 8bpc RGB is still better, but I want to achieve the 10bpc RGB.
I need help to solve this problem.

You can't. The GPU supports HDMI 2.0 and the limitation for that is 4K, 10 bit and 4:2:2. If you use HDR switch to that but otherwise just run 8-bit RGB.

Also the B7 is the 2017 model and doesn't support HDMI 2.1.

I just investigated that neither the GTX 1080ti supports HDMI 2.1.
The only thing you can do for 10bpc rgb is with displayport 1.4 and my oled tv only supports hdmi 2.0 as well.
I found this cable from Displayport 1.4 to HDMI 2.0 in Amazon, there is a claim that with that cable you can use rgb at 10bpc or YCbCr4: 4: 4 at 10bpc.
What do you think? if that cable will work?

The limitation is HDMI 2.0. You need HDMI 2.1 which is not found in any GPU on the market today.

The limitation is the lowest common denominator in the chain, which is the HDMI input on the TV. With HDR enabled you are still going to be limited to 4:2:2 with 10 bpc.

TWO ISSUES WITH THAT ADAPTER:

1. it even says in the specs: converts to HDMI 2.0, so it will be limited by that.

2. You're still limited to HDMI 2.0 input on your TV.

Only the new 9 series from LG supports HDMI 2.1, and 4k @ 120.

I use my LG C7 at 4k, 60hz 8-bit for browsing the web and playing lighter games, and I only turn on HDR 10-bit when I want to watch a rare HDR video on Youtube. I play most demanding games at 1080p @ 120hz. Turning on HDR (in the rare game that supports it) saps about 30% of my performance, and I don't see the benefit.

I figure in another year or two, games will make better use of HDR (about the same time I plan on upgrade this GTX 960 driving my HTPC).

New video cards are expected to support HDMI 2.1 with Nvidia Ampere series (but this is all speculation).
