I've tried a few different ways and I cant figure it out. My normal Disk2vhd wont run on 98 and when I plug the 98 hard drive into my computer and clone it, it crashes on boot.

So has anyone else out there converted an old Windows 98SE (That's right baby, SE) desktop to a VM please post how you did it!

As always, thank you hf.

Looks like people have had good luck using older version of ghost and restoring the image into the VM.

Can you get into safemode with your bluescreen'd VM? If so you could try deleting the network and storage drivers and see if it'll reinstall new ones. Also you could always try the old "deleting the enum key" in the registry and then have windows rebuilding the hardware at bootup. Also you could try a repair install of Win98 if you have the install CD as well.
