Hey guys, I was reading the new card review and i started thinking. I have an old (4 years) SB X-Fi sound card (PCI) i was going to carry it over to my new build once sandy bridge comes out
Should I do it? or get a new PCI-E card?

Running Win 7 now with out any apparent issue with the card.

Thanks!

No reason not to. Even the older Audigy2 ZS in my LAN rig has held up very well with time and still works great.

If you have room for the PCI card, just use that.

Only reason I switched to a PCI-E X-Fi was because I couldn't use a PCI card because I am using two video cards.

Thanks for the feed back!
i'll just stick to the PCI then.

I know what you mean cuclone3d, i have been looking at the mobos and it is so wrong that some manufacturers always place a PCI slot right under the first and second PCIe slot.
That makes the PCI slots useless for people who run dual cards or similar setups.
PCIe x1
PCIe x16
PCIe x1
PCI
PCIe x8
PCI
PCIex4

Seems to make more since you can use at least one PCI slot.
