Old systems/computer stuff

I currently have 2 computers set up and running in my household and have one old dormant AMD K6-2 450 sitting doing absolutely nothing. I live in Vancouver, B.C. and I was wondering what the hell I can do with my old computers/parts/electronics.

Can anyone help me? I'd ideally like to donate the PC (even though it needs RAM, a hard drive, floppy, etc. etc.) to some underfunded assoc., but I really have no idea where to begin even though I have looked.

And while I'm on the subject, since it's basically the same electronic style equipment, where can I recycle my old PS1?

i've heard of some people donating their old computers to goodwill shops. i do know you don't want to just throw away your computer b/c it's got stuff in it that will leak into the ground and contaminate the environment etc etc. hey, maybe you could even trade it for something at your local pc shop?

if you could scrounge up some spare parts, you could start folding for HardOCP with that 450... sure it aint much, but since it aint doin nothin....

Phone up "Cedar Cottage" and ask them if they want it...My wife's aunt works there she may take the computer and ps1 for some of the kids to use in the after school program. You can tell her "Matt from Pullman Washington" suggested it. PM me for the phone #

Actually if you set the multiplier to 2 the default multiplier will revert to 6...with some tweaking you may have a 600MHz K6-2 computer...

Where abouts is this place? Also I believe the operation of the PS1 is pretty intermittent, so it would be a recycler.

And the o/c'ing of the k6-2, haha, I remember not being able to get much over 450 out of that chip. I think I ran it in the 460-470 range for a while but it was heating up so it went back to stock.
