Hello,

So I've been gifted a 500GB 850 Evo. It is sitting on my desk, I haven't quite decided what approach to take. Looking for a little advice.

Currently I've got a 840 Evo 250GB SSD for OS and a couple of games +programs, and a 1TB HDD for everything else.

I was hoping to be able to combine the drivers into one virtual drive while getting rid of the HDD, is this even an option with SSD's?

I guess I'm just looking for a little guidance on what direction to go.

I'm also debating on picking up another 850 Evo and running Raid 0. 1TB of SSD storage for $150.00 +/- isn't the worst option either.
 
Running R0 on SSD's outside of synthetic benchmarks will do nothing for you but double your points of failure on a single volume. Run the 850 as your OS drive and use the 840 as additional space, or sell both of them and buy a 1TB SSD.
 
I would sell both and i would go with 850Pro, personally i dont recommend raiding ssds, unless you do benefit from sequentials writes/reads, which most of us dont, at least over what a single ssd gives you.
