Old PSU work with new system?

Ok quick question for all you PSU guru's out there.
I currently have a (about 5 yr old) Antec True 430 PSU (not v2.0) and I was wondering if this would be able to work with either the AsRock DualSATAII or and Abit KN8-SLI(though I will not be using SLI). It is a standard 20pin with the 4pin 12v. I am assuming that this will work with the AsRock but will not with the Abit. I only plan to run an 3800+ and 7600GS with this system as the main powerhouse parts.

This is the spec sheet for the PSU, alas mine does not have the SATA connector though.

Thanks for your help.

I personally would suggest getting a new PSU. The Nextherm 460W would be a good choice if you never plan to do SLI with 7800's and up or should be OK with 7600's in SLI. The 430 just doesn't have enough ass on the 12V rail to reliably power the 3800+ and a 7600. You could end up running into problems down the road plus with it being 4+ yrs old there's capacitor aging to consider. Your wattages aren't going to be at spec, most likely about 70-80% of what a new one would be.

Looking at that spec sheet is misleading, I looked up the spec sheet for the 480 True Blue and it claimed 28A on the 12V rail max but looking at my 3 year old True Blue 480W it says 22A on the label.

cool thank you.

Any suggestions for something that is cheap. I am looking to spend no more than about 400-500 dollars on a board, proc, card and psu.
Here is what I am looking at buying:
AMD Athlon 64 3800+
Abit KN8-SLI
XFX 7600GS Extreme Edition
That stuff right there gets me to about the 350 mark or so. I was looking at an XClio 500w for the psu, its only $40 bucks and I have heard they are pretty good, nothing spectacular but they do the job and well.

Any suggestions?

Well, im using the same PSU in my system now.

It works fine..i can overclock and the rails seem ok. Only thing is that i cannot for some reason overclock my video card at all without getting some type of overclocking error in when i test it in Nividia properties.

Im thinking its the PSU, so im now looking into getting another PSU. Specs are below..

Like i said it works, but i belive its being pushed hard with my system, so its getting replaced.

EDIT-

I replaced my PSU with a Neo550 and i have to say , wow...major difference in stability and ability to overclock my CPU more and my video card. However my video card only maxes out around 450 core and 1200 mem, its still better then i had with my Truepower. Get a new PSU, unless you running bone stock =)
