Hello all.

I was wondering what the first pentium processor was to include MMX technology. How fast were they???? A friend of mine said the first wass a 200mhz p1..... is this true?

~Thanks

The lowest pentium that have mmx was pentium 133mhz i believe.

I dont konw about 133mhz cause i have this piece of garbage downstairs that is 133 and it didnt have mmx

right P55 was originally 166, 200, 233,
133mhz was later released
there was also a 125mhz 'overdrive' chip (P54'CTB' core),
and a 120mhz mobile version.

ah, thank you so much.

Hehe, after about 2 hour of searching intel's website, i never noticed that "find processor spec" feature.

Thanks!

The first model released with MMX was the P54C 166MHz, afterwhich, as mentioned above, MMX was added to lesser CPUs, mostly for mobile use.
