OLD MAXTOR diamondmax plus 8

hello!!

I have a maxtor Diamondmax plus 8 30GB IDE and i can't get it recognize by my bios or windows..... once long time ago i hook up this hd and bios recognize it but now i cant... i check the jumper settings and try all... nothing hes just dead... anyone can help me??

If the disk is not recognized by bios there is almost nothing you can do about, so kiss it good bye

Just in case, doublecheck the jumpers andd see if you missed something?

i will try again with the jumpers.... by the way i have two sata HD and these ATA... i will boot with the new jumper configuration.. lets c if I'm lucky today...

Ok... first of all, thanks!!! it was the jumper comfiguration now i can see the drive in BIOS.... but in vista i can't...i download stellar phonexi data recovery to c what happens... if any of u guys know anohter way to revive ... please help me!!
