old hd ok to use?

You'll be fine. Just make sure your Raptor is ahead of your old drive in the boot sequence (you won't get very far if your BIOS tries to boot the old drive). You won't hurt performance either, the drives are attached to entirely separate buses.

edit: hm i also forgot, if i were to use this 1 also would i install windows in the raptor or the old hdd? and wut about for all my programs? if i installed them in the old hdd would this be bad?
 
Anything you wait on belongs on the Raptor, as it will retrieve those items much faster. Music, movies, etc will be fine on your old 80GB.
 
hm ic so most would install their os and programs in their quicker hd im guessing? for programs like virus scanners, cpu-z, firewall and all these other things that could possibly run behind the os, is it ok to install them in the slower hd? or would i have to install them with the os under program files? i never had 2 hdds before so i really dont no much lol
 
i would install everything to your raptor.... and use the 80 for storage... like music, movies, documents stuff like that. install os, games, and apps to raptor.
