Old hard drive in new computer

Hi, I am using Windows 7 64-bit on my new computer with SSD as main boot drive, but I still have two hard drives from my old setup that I would like to use. One of them is my main boot drive (Vista 32-bit) and a 1TB Seagate drive used for data/application storage.

I've connected the Seagate to my new computer and most programs seem to run without problem. My question is can I use the boot drive from my old computer in the new one? Would there be driver/boot issues? Can I format the drive but still keep Vista on it or will I need to reinstall?
 
If you 'format the drive' you will not be able to access the data that was on that drive before. Vista won't be there anymore.
What you could do if you wanted to be able to switch between the two operating systems, is attach both drives. If I understand your situation correctly, you want to boot to Windows 7 by default. So you make sure that the drive you installed Windows 7 on is marked as the boot drive in the BIOS. When you want to use Vista, you reboot, and during the time you would normally push a key to access the BIOS, you push another key that lets you select which drive to boot from for that one time. On my computers this key has always been F12.
 
Just make sure you have all the drivers you will need for your new equipment and the key code for Vista.
When Vista boots it will find itself in a new PC and demand activation.
MS is pretty good about letting you have another activation if it has been over 120 days.
