Rig is in sig, Upgraded to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit for about 3 months now. If anyone remembers a few years back when EVGA had serious complaints and problems with the 680i motherboard. Crappy overclocks, xxnm compatibility problems, overheating, etc etc. Well, my 680i was flawless, massive overclock on my Q6600 G0, super stable, basically it was perfect.
Anyways, EVGA stepped up to the plate as always and offered an upgrade program to the 780i and fixed the problem as they always do. With all that said, Karma visited me these past few weeks and I am having the same problem so many people were complaining about here at the H years ago. It will boot up past the bios screen and then BSOD. Sometimes up to 3 times, and then will run windows flawlessly without fail until I reboot it or do a shutdown/restart.
The purpose of this post is not to knock EVGA in any way, they have been perfect to me and this board is covered under their lifetime warranty protection. What I'd like to know is if anyone ever found a solution to this problem. I would really like to avoid doing an RMA and rebuilding my machine if something as simple as a BIOS update will fix it. I already get the feeling that I'm going to have to, but it doesn't hurt to ask I guess. This old PC runs everything surprisingly well!
