Morning all.
I've still got an old Live Value card with only 4 connectors on the back, meaning that if i want to go to a rear speaker setup i lose my microphone - i've recently been donated an identical pair of speakers to my fronts from my brother as he's gone large 5.1 upgrade goodness.
I normally use the system to listen to radio over the net, plus a little fps gaming, so not particuarly fazed about "extreme quality" of sound - i think i'm pretty deaf in all honesty! What is a reasonable solution nowadays ( mobo doesn't have on board sound ).
Oh, and i need linux support!
Most important is to be able to use a front, rear and mic input seperately!
Thanks in advance peeps,
