Hey I read and article by Bill Machrone in PCMAG a while ago about how he soldered his own computer together back in the day.

I've build my own, but I think it might be cool to give something like this a try... maybe a retro kit or some similar project?

if anyone has something similar to these kits, I'd appriciate the information.

I've always wanted to build my own computer like that. I've just never had the money to buy all the stuff for it. I know old z80s and such aren't terribly expensive, but I just can't throw money at that right now. :( Once I get that, I want to move on to building one almost completely out of logic chips(no microprocessor) a la http://homebrewcpu.com/. That would be awesome.
