Hola -- I've got a few questions regarding my audio setup; I have an Audigy 2 zs platinum with the external bay, an amp and some old sony rear speakers. I will be purchasing some Axiom bookshelfs, plus an Axiom sub tomorrow. Games, music and movies split the audio time pretty evenly.

Currently, I have the amp hooked up to the motherboard's sound via RCA-3.5mm (I haven't put the audigy in the new build, yet). Do I still use the RCA-3.5mm cable when I have the Audigy plugged in? The specs for it say it has a built-in DAC so does that mean it does the conversion, then sends the analog through the 3.5mm headphone to my amp (my amp only has RCA inputs)?
I will set it up: audigy (internal, no noticable need for external if using 3.5) - 3.5mm - rca - amp, have a listen, and if something seems off, I will start exploring an external DAC or a new sound card. Is there a better way to hook up the amp to the audigy?
