Old 2900 Pro Dying?

Heya first post. anyway have a 2900 pro with a Thermalright HR-03 on it .Lately it been crashing in stalker call of pripyat with a no signal on my 19" s pva lcd.
mild oc on it but it can;t really hold that any more teh,(610 core 910 mem),now it's at 509 core 510 mem.
Temps are pretty warm at 47c.gaming gets on up to 56c
i'm going to change the sandwich style orientation and go with the type 1 installation which takes up all the PCI slots on my old Abit IP-35 pro,and see if that does any improvement,have a pce slot vantec dual fan card cooling it from underneath it now.
Any way I'm thinking it may be going south and this is just a attempt in futility.Gotta try.
