Ok... so i recently built a system. here are the specs
nForce2 MOBO
512MB DDR400 RAM
AMD ATHLON XP 3000+
ATI RADEON X800pro
well you got the basic idea SO

I set up my system, reformatted the harddrive, and installed DOOM3

now here is where my questions come. for some reason my CPU is only registering under DXDIAG and BIOS as 1.3GHz. Second on DOOM3 under medium settings, shadows & special FX turned off im only averaging about 30FPS on a demo. :mad:

ive talked to a few guys with similar setups and they said they were averaging around 50-60FPS on a demo on HIGH settings :eek:

so anybody can tell me whats wrong i would appreciate it.
 
Or better yet, FSB at 200, since you have DDR400, and multiplier at 11. Your 3000+ shouldn't have any problems running 3200+ speeds.
 
that sounds pretty good
but remember that a 3200 doesnt mean it clocks in at 3.2GHz but i will take that into consideration also
 
yes i know all about the rating speeds AMD uses, thats why i said 3200+ and not 3.2 GHz...
 
the 166FSB and 13 multiplyer is working quite well

i had an overall increase of 12FPS in doom3 and im only up to 40degrees

i tried the 200FSB but it wouldnt go any higher than 166 for some stupid reason but its still good :D
