I just moved my main rig into a Antec Super Lanboy, using the stock 120mm's at front and rear, with a True 550 PSU.. Cpu is cooled by a Thermalright AX-478 with an Antec 80mm LED fan (Asus Q-Fan set to 11/16)

Temps are 35 case 34 CPU at idle, 52 Case 58 CPU load..

This seems high..

My concern is airflow, the rear 120 is right below the psu, and near the CPU fan.. see pic:

Anyone else running this case?

the Superlanboy is not that much different from the 3700AMB/BQE. The 3700 is a little bigger though. My case temp is a constant 28c (which is about the same as the room temp). I have 2x120mm fans, 1 intake, 1 exhaust. The exhaust fan on the 3700 is in the same place as the exhaust is on the lanboy. I've had no problems with it there, works quite well IMO.

The temps at load do sound high though. as if your exhaust fan can't keep up or something. I can't see from your pic, but try cleaning up your cables inside if they're not already. This will help airflow a LOT. Try changing the Q-Fan to 14/16 or something like that. It will be a little louder maybe, but should keep your stuff a little cooler.

Does that case have room for another 120mm fan? if so, add it as intake, this will help the exhaust fan to cycle the air in the case.
 
My cables are as neat as possible, the 120 is right beside the HDD's.. I suppose I can remove the unused drive trays..

No room for more fans :(

seems from your second pic..thta the harddrives are arranged in a way that would impede air flow frm the front 120mm fan...thta might be your prob..the hard drives are perpendicular to the air flow thus causing disturbance in air flow...
try adding a blow fan...also ...try a better cooler/fan combo...if lower temps are what u want/need

I'd move the HDD's up, the the drive rack is not removable..

I'm not talented enough to to cut plexi for blow-hole :)

I'll look at different HSF's tonite
 
yup...cables are neat. :) nice job.

I agree about the drives though. I'm not sure what Antec was thinking when they moved the drive cage like that. It's positioned the same on the 3700BQE, however, on the 3700AMB, the drive cage is inline with the fan, so I simply put a drive on top and a drive in the bottom so I wouldn't impede the airflow.

I wouldn't put a blowhole in your window either. Just personal opinion, but I think a window looks much nicer without a fan in it. I think if you re-arrange your drives a little, it may help a lot. that drive cage *can* be made removable with a little work. you'd have to drill out the rivets and replace with short screws or something.

nice case though. looks good.

I've got the same case, cept I'm running an XP 2500+ @ 2.0GHz.. You're wiring job is good, the only thing I'd suggest is move the 2nd HD to the bottom tray. If you look at the position of the intake fan, leaving the two middle HD slots open will give you more airflow into the case.

Mine was like that, but the power connector was a far stretch (simply because of my wire tuck), so I switched back. I didn't really mind my temps anyways: idle (case: 25, cpu: 43), load (case: 28, cpu: 48).
 
I'll see if my 2nd HD can move to the bottom.. power wire may be short, although I have a molex-SATA adaptor, that would be be more play..

What's nice is that I can run the 120's full power, and they are pretty quiet.. the loudest thing is the PSU now.. I have a Antec 350 that may suffice, but I am somewhat concerned.. 2 CDROM, 2 HDD, case fans... we'll see, took me a good hour to route all the wires :eek:

I wish the stock 120 that came with my case was quiet. Even though it was an Antec, it was almost as loud as the damned TMD fan that is on my hsf.
