I got a 3rd hard drive, but my IDE cable only has two openings on it... How do i get my 3rd hard drive attached?

You can only attach two IDE devices to each IDE channel, so you are already maxed on your one IDE chain.

If you have only one device on your other IDE channel, then you may attach it there. Otherwise, you will need to add an IDE controller, assuming your motherboard only has 2 channels on the board.

Add-in controllers run about $30 at the 'egg.

This card, for example, adds the ability to run 4 more IDE devices.

You're going to have to open up your case eventually. But if you only have 3 IDE devices now, then you can add another.
