OK ,,,problems when i restart windows xp professional

Ok i don't know if anyone has ever had this happen to them but my system was working fine and performing well...i was on a game and got error reports...and all of a sudden it got really slow and stop responding ...so i shut down windows... i rebooted and now it ask if i want to start in safe mode or normal and some others..i have tried all and when it goes to the the screen with the microsoft xp pro screen with the blue bar going across ....it just stays on that screen and won't start up windows ...it does this for about a minute or two ...then restarts automatically

....first you have to figure out if some hardware (like a hard drive) died, or if your OS install piled up.

Can you boot a DOS floppy? Can you run your hard drive manufacturer's diagnostic software with no errors? Will Memtest boot and run?

Start there....... :cool:

www.bootdisks.org (i think?) should have a DOS boot-floppy

if not, get to another XP machine, put in a floppy, right-click A:\ (in My Computer) and click "Makde DOS Boot Disk"

the problem is....not that xp is screwed ...well yeah it is but i can't get passed the windows xp pro screen with the bar going to and fro ....i can't even get into like the main start menu and all that crap ...so i can't go into my comp and do stuff ...
 
I'm not sure how to fix it but I think one of the recent viruses causes your computer to reboot.
