We bought a MicronPC from Costco just short of five years ago. At the time, it was a beast. 1.7GHz processor, 256MB of PC-133, 60GB HDD, CD-RW, DVD Player, and a 32MB Riva TNT2. Over the course of the next few years, we slowly upgraded certain aspects of the system. I added another 256MB of RAM, replaced the DVD Player with a nicer one, replaced the video card, etc.

I ended up building myself a beast of a gaming system last year and decided that it was time to pass the Micron on to my dad. He uses it for gaming, email, burning, etc. now.

Here's what's in the system right now...

- Stock 1.7GHz Processor
- 512MB PC-133 (2x512MB)
- Radeon 8500LE
- 60GB HDD
- 4x Lite On DVD-RW
- Standard MicronPC CD-RW (Never really used...)
- 1x 80MM Case Fan
- 250W PSU

Here's my question... I have a Radeon 9800 Pro laying around. It's brand new. I never even took it out of the box. (Long story... got it for free, basically.) I want to upgrade the Micron with that card. Is that going to be a problem with only 250W coming out of the PSU, considering the other hardware? (NO overclocking.) I know for a fact that the motherboard is 4x AGP... that's no big deal. It's not like it's that powerful of a video card, anyway, but it's definitely superior to what he has. I'm just curious as to whether the system can handle it.
 
Shouldn't be an issue. It will either work or it won't. There's not really a middle ground.
