I have a 3.0e and it typically runs about 60c with a stock fan and my mobo is a P4P800SE from asus and i'm not too sure if thats the correct temps for my processor. If it is then isn't that a little too hot? If thats the case what hsf do you guys recommend to cool this beast down. Oh and playing a game drove the computer to 70c+ degrees and it shut down a couple times before it booted.
 
Well, if it gets too hot that it shuts down, then you know something's wrong. I'm guessing you're using the stock heatsink and fan? Remove the heatsink, scrape the TIM off and apply some AS5. The AS5 wont make that big of a difference, but as long as you're remounting the HSF there's no reason why you shouldn't use it instead...
