the corners are brighter than the rest of the screen. the screen stays bright after i turn it off for like 1 minute but then it goes dark. During that time is when you notice the brighter corners the most.
 
its called backlight bleeding, some get it, some don't. It's the reason some people return/exchange the dell widescreen monitors.
 
why would they return it. It isn't distracting. I only see it when the screen is turning off.
 
Well if your watchin a dark movie then I can see why it is annoyin but other than that you will probably never see it.
