Ok I set up Rage3d tweak and now I have some questions...
My core clock says 499.50 (thats what I got it as....)
My Memory clock says 297.00

Now The highest core clock goes up to about 600mhz...
And my memory clock can be OCed to 400...

Should I OC them to the max??
I hear about people talking abouit "Artifacts". What are they?? And If I screw up on my OCing can I reset it back to default??

People know, but eat dinner and stuff like that. :)

I think Rage3d maxs out at what might be safe to run with improved cooling. I personally wouldn't max my card out, cuz they lockup when you least expect it, but a lot of people do and they can tell you how they do it.

Artifacts are one of those things that you'll recognize when you see them. At least you should. It starts with small white squares popping up like blotches of snow in place of areas that would normally contain color, and progresses to ultra ugly from there. I'm sure some of the edumacated engineering types that read these forums from time to time could provide a very extensive description of what artifacts really are, but take it from me you'll recognize them.

You can always return the card to default settings under the worst circumstances by going into windows in safe mode and removing Rage3d and your video drivers if need be. Generally you can reboot after a overclock lockup and quickly go into the display setup dialogs and fix everthing.

I need some help from people who are pros :) When people say "Start at 20mhz, and progress from there". Does that mean start at 510 and keep making my way up?

pretty amazing that you got the ram to 400 did you test it in games?

the core is average.

artifacts are unwanted polygons corrupting themselves all over the screen, these show up when you go past the cards max clock, just back down about 10mhz if you see them and youll be fine.

btw its pretty easy to tell an artifact, anything that shouldn't be there ;)

If you need help, how would you know if someone was a pro or not. :D

Overclocking a graphics card isn't difficult. It's pure experimentation and probably one of the easiest things can do with a device. Letting someone else figure it out for you takes all the fun out of it.
