So, I just pulled the trigger on my new computer... and now I have to wait, agonizing as I worry that one site or another will take too long processing my order and it won't arrive on time. Here's what I got:
San Diego 4000+
Thermalright XP-90C w/ Panaflo L1BX fan and Arctic Silver 5
DFI Lanparty NF4 UT SLI-DR
2x Corsair Value Select 1GB
Maxtor DiamondMax 7200 SATA 250GB w/ 16MB Cache
XFX 6800GT PCI-E
NEC 3250 DVD Combo Burner
Lian-Li v1000
Enermax Noisetaker 485w
All shipped 2nd day air. Grand total including shipping was $1821. Got the stuff from 4 different sites to tweak the price as low as possible (including shipping). Newegg, Monarch, ZipZoomFly, and Jab-tech each got a bit of my business today.
I'm almost giddy with anticipation. My last real computer was an Athlon 1Ghz w/ GeForce 2. Been making do with a dell 420sc "server", which is damn good for the price I paid (about $500 including expanded memory and ATI x300 graphics card). But now... for the big guns
Ok, enough rambling... just wanted to share my elation.
