Two sticks of Rosewill PC3200 512MB Fail together and independantly in MEMTest (i think v1.15) they each (or both) Fail tests 5-7 every single time that they are ran, whether in Dual channel mode or single. RMA for replace or is something amiss elsewhere. Its the AMD system in my sig

The rosewill probley isn't guarnteed to do 1T timing, push back the timing to 2T and see if they pass (i'm assuming that AMD rig in your sig is a A64).

for fear of sounding like a dumbass what's 1T timing etc.?

Yep the system is AMD 64 3000+ Winchester

Command Rate, typically seen in the bios as Command Per Cycle or something like that, abbreviated CPC, its in your memory setup. Enable is 1T, disable is 2T. give it a shot and let us know.

Which Rosewill did u buy? The one that says Rosewill on the chips or the one that says PQI on the chips? If it's Rosewill RMA for your money and order the ones that say PQI, beleive me it makes the difference.

Loosen up the ram timings a bit, and you should be okay.

You will probably have to experiment a bit, but as a general rule, the higher the number (when adjusting ram timing), the slower the ram will operate. The trick is to find the fastest it will operate reliably.

Good luck!
